Rihanna's first debut album "Music of the Sun" was released in August 2005. The Album contained dancehall numbers and the first single 'Pon De Replay' from the album was a chart buster and peaked at # 2 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart. The album which she co-wrote achieved platinum status in several countries finally placing it within the top ten slots in US and Canada. Her next album "A Girl Like Me" was released in April 2006 and debuted at # 5 in US and # 4 in UK. The two singles 'SOS' and 'Unfaithful' climbed to the first three top positions on musical charts in US and UK.
Amidst her musical schedules Rihanna found time to act in movies and television shows. She did a cameo role in "Bring It On: All or Nothing" in 2006 and appeared in an American soap opera "All My Children". |
